Battle of the Elements: A Celebration of Hip Hop Kulture is a day-long, interactive, family-friendly event targeting all ages. The event will feature a competition-style battle in (all) five elements of Hip Hop culture listed below:

• Rap
• DJ
• Dance
• Beat-Making
• Graffiti

Spectators will view groups of rappers, deejays, dancers, producers and street artists compete tournament style before a panel of judges. The last person or group standing will be recognized and awarded as the champion of their respective Hip Hop element. This pays homage to traditional Hip Hop style jams that occurred during the early years of hip hop culture (1970s-1980s) in which physical street fights were replaced with figurative battles.
